I became interested in tea bowls over 30 years ago. My collection is varied. I have vague criteria–must fit into my cupped hands, have interesting surfaces, sometimes a surprising color or flaw, the shapes can be symmetrical and are often not. In other words, I go with a feeling "I must have this". No words can explain that. - Joan Schulze
